Director Finance, Operations is responsible for working collaboratively with the Vice President of Operations and will oversee multiple plant locations. The position is accountable for driving financials processes across the organization through financial metrics, capital investment, economic analysis, productivity analysis and manufacturing cost analysis, creating collaborative thinking for all locations, as well as, maintaining a culture of proactive compliance. This position will work for the VP Finance and partner with other organizational leaders to ensure timely and accurate internal forecasting and reporting, while adhering to company internal control procedures. Additionally, the Director, Finance will continuously evaluate systems and procedures to ensure that the operations of the department are being run in the most efficient and effective manner and aligned with company objectives. This role will involve thorough financial analytical reviews to identify cost savings and articulate real time trends in the business. Finally, the Director, Finance will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team.

Essential Functions

  • Translate monthly and quarterly financial data into insightful and actionable business intelligence and communicate to cross-functional teams.
  • Build data driven culture leveraging and promoting Digital platforms, cost control, and analysis.
  • Assess and improve value streams of manufacturing sites.
  • Focus on maximizing working capital- focus on Inventory, AP
  • Support internal and external Audit requests
  • Drive Productivity and cost saving initiatives
  • Identify and provide recommendations as needed for Cap Variance, Standard cost run, Inventory revaluation, Profit in Inventory
  • Establish a strong Process Improvement MOS and culture
  • Lead team of Site Cost Accountants including talent development, performance management and best practice sharing
  • Manage the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the period end financial close process (fiscal month, quarter and year-end)
  • Prepare variance analysis and participate in month-end financial review for presentation to executive team, as necessary
  • Provide financial modeling of proposed business models and strategies
  • Driving sustainable improvements in factory throughput and lower inventory through impactful analysis

Education Required

4-year College Degree -- Major: Accounting or Finance required

Experience Required

  • 10 years Finance experience
  • 7 years leading a team
  • 5 years supply chain finance experience
