Position: Technical Sales Support/Field Service Technician
Location:  Memphis, Tennessee
Estimated salary: $60k - $75k + monthly car allowance ($675)

This is essentially an entry-level field service technician position that requires customer service skills and a knack for helping others. You'll have an advantage if you have chemistry, mechanical manufacturing, or testing experience! Territory Manager training is part of this position. You'll get money every month to cover travel expenses. No previous experience required.

Your main mission:
Contact and meet with prospects and already existing customers to provide services, recommendations, and additional products (water treatment, wastewater treatment, mechanical equipment, and supplies). You will also be responsible for supervising and assisting with the installation, sale, and servicing of all solutions (including testing, analysis, and training).

Your main duties:
  • Demonstrate and sell chemical products, equipment, and services to customers and prospects in your assigned territory 
  • Sample customer/prospect water supplies for laboratory analysis (on-site or at our laboratory), explain results, and recommend a treatment program
  • Train to prepare proposals, reports, and agreements
  • Assist customers with their orders and troubleshoot shipping, delivery, and billing issues
  • Conduct service and sales calls and attend industry-related meetings/trade shows
  • Keep a close eye on the activities and products of competitors
  • Provide technical training to clients and their employees
  • Keep up to date with all federal and state laws and standard industry practices for the use and handling of all chemicals we sell and use
  • Live in this West Tennessee Territory.   Best place is in Memphis.

What qualifies you?
  • You are a college graduate with a science degree
  • You can use a computer and other basic office equipment
  • Your automobile insurance policy meets the requirements
  • You can complete all required safety training and adhere to it
  • You're a STRONG communicator (verbally and in writing) capable of handling customer complaints
  • You can calculate the appropriate proportion of chemicals to safely treat water and educate clients about safe handling methods
  • You're able to work all year round and in all kinds of weather
  • You can sit/stand for long periods
  • You can drive for extended periods and in different types of weather
  • You must live in or very near Memphis
  • You can carry up to 50 lbs. from your vehicle to your workstation (testing kits, supplies, and other equipment) and move heavy chemical containers/equipment using mechanical moving devices
  • You're physically and medically fit to wear a respirator
  • You can climb ladders or stairs and maneuver around equipment
