Position Summary:

Serve as the subject matter expert on the organization's Supply Chain Planning processes and policies, working across business units to disseminate planning knowledge and to develop, document, and share best practices. This role will identify potential techniques (practices, strategies, principles) that they can help people to adopt to improve Supply Chain Planning.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of department & company by leading cross functional stakeholders through continuous improvement processes and implementation of best practices using standard LEAN methodologies.
  • Ensure that best practice SOPs are created and that all document libraries are updated and current.
  • Deliver the business case / expected benefits from each project to be implemented. Facilitate cross functional opportunity ideation. Partner with all cross-functional stakeholders while aligning strategically with department leadership to complete risk vs. benefit analysis and prioritization process.
  • Key departmental lead for various cross-functional projects. Support project Executive Sponsors and Business Leads in defining initiative scope, identifying stakeholders, and managing initiative tasks.
  • Lead and support tools to improve the department & company performance which includes but not limited to Kaizen and Value Stream Analysis events to map current processes, define future state, and drive key improvements.
  • Defining and implementing enhanced departmental metrics and refining the operating model to ensure accountability and performance management.
  • Improve JD Edwards system capabilities to match our business expectations, by acting as a liaison between teams and information technology.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging technology, top rated vendors, and process enhancements and identify implementation opportunities for VF.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Management, Supply Chain or closely related field required.
  • At least 5 years of supply chain experience in Consumer Packaged Goods and/or in manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards planning and scheduling modules.
  • Experience in production planning and scheduling, inventory management, MRP process and distribution is a plus.
  • Proven track record of implementation of processes leading to excellence and improving costs metrics through the use of best practice techniques such as MRP planning, JIT, kaizen, etc.
Preferred Education / Experience:

  • MBA Preferred.
  • APICS, CPPM (Certified Professional Purchasing Manager), or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification is preferred.

  • Salary Base Range of $132,000 - $173,500 for Employees Located in California*
  • Annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions)

*The "base salary range" provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Ventura Foods conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
